watching	friends play the new path of exile thing. my own beautiful bespoke streaming experience from my friends to have going while i do dishes etc the emerald fennel wuthering heights. Oh My God. Jesus Christ. it was excrutiating. never in my life have i watched a film trying so hard to be erotic and failing as profoundly. every time something happened the whole room (i did a group watch with my book club, which was the Only way to do this imho) collectively went AAUGH!!! EUGH!!! WHAT!!! so that was funny at least. if i ever have to see the underside of jacob elordi's tongue ever again i will end it all. it only happened once i think but that was one time too many. this review that i reblogged over the weekend summed up my thoughts pretty well. novie by the sea on interstitial journaling: guards! new journaling method has hit the notebooks! playing with this idea now of jotting down tasks as i finish them/transition to new task. even if i just write down "watched youtube". so far it has felt like a good way to avoid the scrolling hole. this mia's digital diary video: not finished but i like the cut of her jib so far started taskmaster s16

making	painted some dahlias on this little bud vase boy for a friend. could fit one, perhaps two trimmed dahlias. experimenting with some new glazes! someone donated some of the amaco SH glazes to the studio and so far i loveeeee them. used these as an opportunity to experiment with some negative space. fern bowl was done in matcha gloss, fish in acai gloss; the latter was not nearly as glossy or blue as i thought, maybe did not put enough layers on? i thought i did 3 but maybe it needs 4. it has a nice sort of texture to it though so i'm not mad. friend birthday gift COMPLETE. i went to the studio at 8am wednesday to pick this up before my shuttle to the airport at 9. thought about posting under a spoiler tag again but i haven't taken a good photo of it yet soooo. next week scrapbooking!!!! will not be linking pictures due to the people in them but i got a bunch of photos printed at the great satan (walmart) for the month of january as an experiment and made a scrapbook spread. really enjoyed it, will definitely continue.
eating	made these deviled eggs for the wuthering heights watch party. basically made as-is, doubled it though because there were like 10 people there and there was exactly one half egg left by the end so it was definitely the right choice. friend labelled them as 'heathcliffed eggs' which is quite funny.
misc	i posted this on wednesday on neocities. so it counts. home for a week to visit family, boyfriend, etc. yay :-)

reading	the myth of the brown recluse: really funny. i love entemologists. one of my close friends is the director of the bug specimen collection at my university and he told me about harrison g dyar, after whom dyar's law is named, who had a whole second secret family and was found to have been digging tunnels under his home in washington dc after one collapsed lol continuing in blood meridian; [boss baby tweet voice] getting a lot of gnosticism vibes from this. it's not a perfect fit but something about the vibes. had a long convo w a friend about it but i'm still formulating thoughts. almost done with chapter 17 Horror’s Hollywood takeover is an exciting moment – but won’t someone think of the squeamish?; booo. boooooooooooo. tomato. watching	the vampire lestat liveshow: grrr arrughhghgh i am chewing glass. again basically zero chance of me actually getting a ticket but i wish i coulda put my name in the pool. i didn't realize it was an early screening of the first episode as well. mia's digital diary on waking up at 5am. hmm. hmmmmm. i think the fuck not but it's a nice idea. i just simply do not know how to overcome the bedtime procrastination is the real thing. watched first episode of the vampire lestat. i am barking, etc FINALLY finished heated rivalry. i watched the first episode months ago when it was first popping off but i watched 2-4 over the weekend and 5 and 6 the other night. enjoyed it! will watch s2 when it comes out next year! i do Not think i will be reading the books for a variety of reasons. the pacing of the show was a little strange to me and i don't know if i was actually convinced by the end that these two guys were In Love(tm) because of some of the pacing weirdness but so it goes; a lot of person A doing something bizarre/something that would reasonably cause friction (ignoring the other for 6 months, abruptly dating a woman, etc) that are just. basically almost immediately glossed over with very little fanfare, and while i'm sure the characters worked it out off-screen in a conversation or whatever, it just made it kinda strange from the viewer end. love that softcore porn was on live tv though i think that rules

reading	re-reading condensed chaos, just for fun read a rose for emily by william faulkner, after reading a short story that was linked on tumblr that i now tragically cannot find. it was from the pov of an old woman who is being taken care of by her daughter. the author said in the notes that the story was inspired in part by a rose for emily so i went and read it! but now i cannot find the first story lol so if that sounds familiar to you, please lmk. edit: i immediately found it on cleaning out my phone tabs lol, Nearest and Dearest by Ollie Swasey hard fits: yung chomsky. this hopefully isn't controversial but i think yung chomsky of trueanon producer fame is so fine. just a very handsome and charming man imo. if i had to end up with a Nice Jewish Boy(tm) like my grandmother wishes for i would want it to be him/someone like him. this is an interview with him about his style philosophy. cute webcomic; the tattletale fool this scum villain zine using rule 107.1c to steal us government secrets; magic is so stupid merchandizing the void; really good thoughts on the uncanny valley of some of these spaces as shown on social media
watching	the vampire lestat ep 3. what the fuck is going on here (derogatory) (sort of). like i have seen enough discourse about book vs show gabrielle to have a good idea of what we're missing out on and i'm pissed. looking foward to armand content though thank god various youtubes. mostly caroline winkler interior design and, ironically, videos on getting offline/dumbphones/etc. i think buying a dedicated dumbphone, especially the $300 ones, is kinda dumb (ha), but i would like to dumbphone-ify my smartphone a bit and see how that goes.
playing	anthropeum! thanks pngjpeg boyfriend's friend group made a minecraft server that i have joined! it's fun. unmodded minecraft has come very far.
making	practicing some pots and lids from closed forms instead of throwing a lid separately; it's hard! i should be able to slice the lids off this coming thursday and then finesse them to fit. postcards:) well i didn't make the art on the front but i did make the messages. and added stickers n stuff.
eating	this carbonara recipe, which i HALVED and it STILL made SO MUCH FUCKING CARBONARA.....so i will be writing down and modifying to make Less carbonara for future because i really think it tastes best fresh day-of immediately-made.
misc	i forgot to include this closer to when it actually happened but i went to the l'space gallery exhibition of leonora carrington's sculptures! if you find yourself in the chelsea area in manhattan this is definitely worth a visit, it's small - maybe 30 min if your really take your time - and there's a weird AI component that i did not conceptually care for but overall it was very cool to see. also RIP david hockney. you will always be The it-boy for me from the hockney-falco thesis.

making	repaired a button on a skirt some closed form pots! these were an adventure. they threw kinda weird and lopsided but i was able to save them in post (trimming). put some sweet lil balls on them for feet and one leaf top :D
eating	really good diy antipasta salad - tinned calamari from trader joes, olives of various types, salami, pepperoncini, microgreens and lettuce, radishes, mushroom, white wine vinegar and balsamic glaze. really wanted pickled mushroom but could not find in the grocery :( friend gave me sourdough starter!!! have not made anything with it yet but oh boy made the dumpling filling, gotta assemble tho
misc	sorry for falling off...the agonies etc got recognized as A Regular at a local secondhand boutique......but i did get 50% off of a very cool dress because of that so i am not mad about it
